The Problem:
Vaccines are sensitive to heat and must be refrigerated

The vaccine “cold chain” is the system of transporting and storing vaccines within the temperature range of 35°F (2°C) to 45°F (8°C) (US Department of Health and Human Services). If exposed to temperatures too high or too low, the vaccine will denature and become inactive. This strict vaccine refrigeration requirement contributes to the over 25% liquid vaccine wastage rate estimated by the World Health Organization. The process also hinders the delivery of vaccines to remote areas of the world where there is no electricity to operate refrigerators.

Our Solution:Chemical protector for vaccines

Nanoly is developing a polymer that may be blended with any protein-based vaccine at any point in the vaccine delivery chain. Our solution is composed of non-toxic nanoparticles that we custom synthesize for each vaccine. When the vaccine is combined with our polymer, our goal is to prevent vaccine spoilage without refrigeration. Our solution is portable, convenient, and reliable. It is designed to eliminate the difficulties associated with vaccine transportation and delivery. We are enabling vaccines to be delivered to places that need it the most.
